Tropea

Mountainous, Calabria has remained a relatively wild region and one of the least wealthy in Italy.
Its coasts are very beautiful and many lovely villages are perched inland.
Calabria is known for being the region of origin of the ‘Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia, where it still holds a great deal of power.
