Montefortino (Sibylline Mountains)

Le Marche are mainly made up of hills, the western part of the region being more mountainous, while the east is a largely seaside Adriatic coast.
It is the Italian region with the highest density of religious buildings: churches, abbeys, monasteries … the legacy of a long history as a papal region.
To the north, the republic of San Marino and a few dozen kilometres away, Urbino, one of the most beautiful towns in the Marche along with Ascoli Piceno.
