Note about Sicily
The car transfer between the southernmost tip of Italy and Sicily is almost continuous from Villa San Giovanni (a few kilometres from Reggio Calabria) and Messina, with about one departure every half hour, for a crossing of about 20 min, and about 15-20€ per vehicle.
