The Dolomites are one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Italy, located in the southern part of the Alps.
The appearance of these mountains is different from the rest of the Alps.
This area is an ancient seabed, rich in coral, which began to rise about 60 million years ago under the pressure of the European and African plates.
The erosion of the mineralized coral was different here from the rest of the Alps, shaping its unique jagged peaks.
Equipped with ski resorts, the Dolomites are also a region of great appeal in the summer season, as in several nature parks where hiking can be practiced, to discover its landscapes, flora and fauna.
Straddling Trentino and Veneto, the region roughly corresponds to an area between Bolzano, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Belluno and San Martino di Castrozza.
