Piazza Mercanti
Piazza Mercanti (Merchants’ Square in English) was in the Middle Ages the main square of Milan, part of which now forms Via Mercanti. It is lined with medieval and more recent palaces: Palazzo della Ragione (13th century), Casa Panigarola (15th century), Palazzo delle Scuole Palatine (17th century), Loggia degli Osii (14th century), or Palazzo dei Giureconsulti (16th century) on Via Mercanti.
In the centre of the square there is a 16th-century well topped by two 18th-century columns (Wikipedia).
