What to see on a one-day visit to Turin

For a day in Turin, you can imagine a walk through the city centre, passing through the squares Piazza Castello (where the Palazzo Madama and the Royal Palace are located) with its palaces, adjoining galleries, as well as the nearby cathedral and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and possibly the Porta Palatina which stands almost opposite. Then you can reach the Piazza San Carlo for example by passing through the Galleria Subalpina, crossing the Palazzo Carignano. Then near Piazza San Carlo, you can discover the Galleria Umberto I. Depending on the time available, you can choose to visit either the Royal Museums with the palace (accessible from Piazza Castello), or the Egyptian Museum.
You can then go by the Mole Antonelliana to reach the beautiful Valentino Park with its proud Baroque castle and the Borgo Medievale, and then cross the Po to climb up to the Hill of the Capuchins and admire the panorama (note: to enjoy a better light on Turin, prefer the morning).

Visiting Turin over two days or more

In addition to the previous suggestions, a morning walk towards Porta Palatina, near the Porta Palazzo market, then a visit to the Sanctuary of the Consolata in the same district.
Visit to the Royal Museums or the Egyptian Museum, then a visit to the Mole Antonelliana (you can go up and there is a cinema museum for those interested).
Depending on your personal interests, you can choose to visit the Museum of the Risorgimento in the Palazzo Carignano, or the cinema museum (by visiting the Mole Antonelliana), or the Gallery of Modern Art, or the Palazzo Madama with its museum of ancient art.
